10:45-11:00 – Check-In

11:00 AM – Welcome & Vision Training

• We will begin with a discussion of “WHY.” Why is AFPF offering this program? Why have you chosen to attend? Why do we want to see change in the institution of government, and in society overall? We discuss America’s founding vision, our vision of a better society, and what we can do, together, to turn those visions into reality.

12:00 PM – Lunch Provided by AFP and comments from AFP State Director.

1:00 PM – Telling Your Story

• To engage people about issues at the deepest level, nothing beats a compelling or relatable story. In this session, participants will learn how their personal story touches others’ lives and how to use their story to explain issues in an engaging way that sparks action.

2:00 PM – S.M.A.R.T. Tactics

• Participants learn how to define a goal, create a simple strategic outline, and determine appropriate tactics that aid in identifying, educating, and mobilizing. Individuals will work in teams to create a basic tactical plan and end by presenting their plan to the entire group.

3:00 PM – Wrap-Up Meeting
