IowaFRW and Young Republicans Sponsor Fundraiser near Ames

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021) – The Iowa Federation of Republican Women joins the Lincoln Highway Young Republicans in co-sponsoring the “Splish, Splash, It’s a YR Bash” on Friday, Sept. 3, in Colo, Iowa, to raise money to elect Republican candidates in 2022.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Park Oriole Ridge Lodge, located east of Ames on

U.S. Hwy 30, just minutes from the Iowa State University campus. All ages are welcome at the bash featuring a picnic, dunk tank, pie auction, and egg toss competition.

IowaFRW President Barbara Hames-Bryant of Cedar Rapids, who will be one of the featured celebrities in the dunk tank, said in a statement today, “IowaFRW is proud to support the Lincoln Highway Young Republicans. They’re clever and creative and ready to work. This next generation of Republicans embodies the best of the GOP: spirit, enthusiasm, and willingness to distinguish themselves from their liberal classmates and co-workers.”

Young Republicans are strong, motivated, and we’re not going anywhere. We are in it for the long fight.”
