The IowaFRW will host the Iowa Suffrage Centennial Gala on Saturday, June 22, at the magnificent World Food Prize Hall of Laureates in Des Moines. The event will take us all back to the days of the Suffrage Movement and celebrate how far we’ve come!
The Iowa Suffrage Centennial Gala will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Iowa’s ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote. The evening will begin with Registration at 5 p.m. and the opportunity to stroll the gardens and experience the historically significant World Food Prize Hall of Laureates, followed by Cocktail Reception, Dinner and Program with Speakers and Entertainment. Period costumes are invited, but not required. The Honorable Rebecca Kleefisch, former Lt. Governor of Wisconsin and the executive director of the National Suffrage Centennial Commission in Washington, D.C., has confirmed her participation and expects to be bringing a “surprise” guest from the White House.
To request an invitation to the Gala, complete the form below. Attendance is by invitation only, so if space remains, you will be contacted by a representative of the Iowa Federation of Republican Women to complete your registration and payment information online.
