****STATEMENT FROM IOWA LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AND IOWAFRW PRESIDENT****
Two long-time Iowa Federation of Republican Women members are now serving in the top two executive positions in Iowa, according to an IowaFRW statement released today.
“On behalf of the Iowa Federation of Republican Women I enthusiastically congratulate Chris Cournoyer on her appointment to Lt. Governor. Having known Lt. Gov. Cournoyer for nearly a decade I have had the opportunity to see first-hand her work ethic, determination, and resilience,” said IowaFRW President Michelle Crawford, Eldridge.
“Her commitment to serving fellow Iowans has been apparent from her service on the school board, the Iowa Senate, and her time serving on the Scott County Republican Women executive board,” Crawford added.
“I am grateful to Governor Reynolds for placing her trust in me and choosing me to join her administration. I have always admired her as a strong, conservative leader and I am absolutely honored to stand by her side,” Cournoyer said. “In my time in the Senate, I have seen firsthand the way she tackles Iowa’s toughest problems—from tax reform to education freedom. She’s about results, as am I, and I’m excited to join her team to help get those results on behalf of Iowans.”
Crawford stressed: “IowaFRW is thrilled to have strong, smart women like Governor Reynolds and Lt. Governor Cournoyer leading our great state.”
