(TUESDAY, AUG. 5, 2025) – Nine Iowa Federation of Republican Women (IowaFRW) members from all four Congressional districts will travel to Orlando, Fla., in September to participate in the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) Biennial Convention.

Two members of the National Board of Directors:

Gwen Ecklund, Denison, president of Crawford County Republican Women, IowaFRW Executive Committee, chair of the National President’s Advisory Committee, and NFRW RNC Convention Committee member
Lori Leonard Reyman, Holstein, member of Northwest Iowa Republican Women, IowaFRW Executive Committee and Public Relations Chair, and NFRW PR Chair

Two club presidents from Iowa:

“I’m looking forward and honored to be serving as a delegate from Iowa to my 10th NFRW convention,” said Kathy Pearson, Five Seasons Republican Women and a former IowaFRW president. “Every two years we gather for convention to elect new officers for the next biennium, and to take care of the business of the organization.”

“We are excited to have two members from Central Iowa who will be attending the national convention for their first time,” added Pearson, who lives in Cedar Rapids.  “The benefits of attending the national convention are many; including listening and learning from national leaders and the networking opportunities to develop relationships with women leaders from across the country.”

The NFRW Biennial Convention will be held Sept. 25-28 in Orlando, Fla., with the theme, “Pursuing Greatness: 87 Years of Excellence Protecting and Defending America.”

The Iowa Federation of Republican Women, founded in Tama County in 1939, unites the voices and values within the Republican Party.
